Research Study on Successful Women in Micro-business

Code:    Proj-435
Date:    06/01/1987 - 06/01/1988
Duration: 12 Months

"This project investigated the livelihood activities of successful women in small business and looked into the changes these activities had brought into their family lives. The microsurvey showed that business undertakings contributed both economic and social benefits to the women. However, the impact on the development of Filipino women in general and as human resources participating in the realization of national goals remain to be seen. The study concluded that the ingredients for women's development through small business were present priorities in the national plans. However, concrete IGP programs still fall short of the objective of harnessing women in economic recovery through micro entrepreneurship."
