Specifically, the project will involve:  the development of a popular version of the SWM study results; community consultations/forums in SANPASADA where issues and concerns related to SWM can be discussed with reference to research results and other viable models in Davao Oriental; a workshop to identify other problems particularly in those areas not covered by the SWM project and the identification of specific interventions to improve the implementation of the SWM law; production of information, education and communication (IEC) materials on SWM for local government units (LGUs) and  other stakeholders; and technical assistance in the review and revision of Barangay SWM Plans in the project barangays in SanPaSaDa through a participatory approach.

The project deliverables are as follow:

  • Dissemination forum
  • Popular version of SWM study results
  • Workshop to craft the SWM templates for each barangay
  • IEC materials on SWM (printed and AV)
  • Revision of SWM plans of and adoption by the SanPaSaDa LGUs & community
