The project provided the conceptual and methodological framework, and instructions for planning, implementing and evaluating non-formal education activities for women. Ultimately, this effort will help contribute to changes in reproductive behavior and lead to reductions in fertility levels, thus enabling a more balanced use of scarce resources for agricultural and rural development. The guidelines are intended for the use of United Nations agencies as well as government and nongovernment agencies.
