PopDev Fellowship
The PCPD Fellowship Program aims to create a core of researchers and practitioners skilled at examining and understanding the relationships between socioeconomic development and population dynamics and the requirements of social change. It is open to qualified candidates who are pursuing masteral and doctoral degrees in any social science discipline such as demography, economics, sociology, anthropology, psychology, and mass communication. Thesis and dissertation support is also available.
Population and development studies look into the links of population dynamics (fertility, mortality, migration) with such development issues and concerns as gender, health, education, economic growth and poverty, ageing, housing, urbanization, environment, food security, population policy and governance, and sustainable development. Fellows are expected to pursue specialization in any of these areas.
